A winding, scenic path through life has brought Herbalist Aimée de la Lune to this moment, Here and Now.
Things have not been, nor are easy… There have been steep slopes to climb and slide down, rocky detours, broken bridges and pits of mud. And along the way there have also been sweet surprises around sharp bends, beautiful vistas, and plants. Lots and lots of plants. And crystals. And so many other gifts and experiences from Mother Nature that have held her and supported her on this journey of life.
The PlantWise mission is to help others navigate their own journeys using the healing powers of plants and crystals. The Apothecary is overflowing with heart- and plant-inspired therapies; only and always with the Earth’s blessings. Alchemic Elixir: A unique expression of herbal and/or crystal medicine using more than one of the below listed therapies.
Hydrosol: Also known as floral waters, hydrolats, or herbal waters. Hydrosols are aqueous products of steam and/or hydrodistillation. They are colloidal suspensions of essential oils as well as water-soluble components obtained by steam distillation or hydrodistillation from plants/herbs.
Olfactory Therapy: Essential oils and hydrosols are forms of herbal medicine with high levels of aromatics. Olfaction is the sense of smelling, and is linked to the limbic system in the brain. The limbic system is where we house our memories and emotions. So olfactory therapy is very effective at addressing emotional dis-ease of many kinds and can help in healing parts of ourselves where our sense of memory is involved.
Skin Therapy: Mostly infused oils. Plant constituents that are oil and/or fat soluble are infused in a carrier oil such as olive oil or sunflower oil. See each listing for specifics.
Vibrational Therapy: Flower essences are a form of herbal medicine believed to contain the vibrational energy of flowers, Gem essences, similarly, hold the vibrations of crystals. The vibrational energy of an object, or being, is where much of the spiritual and emotional “medicine” come from.
